DIY Minnie Mouse Ears

Most my days are spent on Youtube watching vlogs, DIYs, makeup/hair tutorials or music videos. I find someone new, get hooked and will binge watch all their videos. My new obsession, RemLife, did a mix of a vlog and a DIY, my two things in one! I took her tutorial and did my own version, there really isn't one way to do these, just have to get creative!

Supplies:
-Headbands
-Cardboard
-Fake Flowers
-Hot glue gun
-Spray adhesive
-Glitter
-Felt or fabric
-Cup
-Scissors
-Acrylic Jewels
Take your cardboard, I used an old box I got from an amazon order, take it so it lays flat. I used a 16 oz drinking cup from dollar tree and drew four circles and cut them out. After my glue gun warmed up, I glued two of the circles together so they were more stiff and wouldn't bend with having weight on them.

After laying out the ears I placed the headband on top and marked where it over lapped and cut that little sliver off making sure it was slightly curved. I put glue on that cut and stuck it to the headband, putting just a little more around the bottom just to be safe. I put mine a little closer together but you can choose whatever distance you think is cute.

Start picking all those flowers off! I decided to just use the purple and white ones after getting started, but any flower would work. You can use anything not just flowers, I think my next ones will just be all jeweled and sparkly!

I put hot glue on the flower and started placing them. I did a line of white and placed a jewel in the center. I took two of the purple flowers sprayed them with the adhesive and dipped them into glitter and randomly placed them on the ears. I decided I didn't want to have both front and back covered in flowers so I cut a circle of white felt and placed it on the back, you could spray it with adhesive and shake some glitter onto it to add some more pizzazz!

And repeat on the other ear! I also made a bow using felt, I have no idea how to make them but what I did was take a strip of felt, as thick as you want, and make it into like a cuff and glue it so its a circle. I then took a smaller strip and laid the original now circle flat and pinched the middle so it made the bow shape, wrapped the smaller strip around and glued it on so the bigger one stayed as a bow. Put a dot glue on the bottom and stuck it to the headband.

Finished Product!

I'm not sure what I'll be using these for, maybe one day I'll go to Disney Land and show them off, or future Halloween costume. They were just so easy and cheap to make I had to give it a go!
